12:45 Naminoue Shrine (stay time approximately 1 hour, subject to driver's announcement)

Pick-up and drop-off points at Naminoue Shrine: The route from the bus parking area to Naminoue Shrine is approximately 400 meters (walking time is approximately 5-6 minutes). Please return along the same route to catch the bus.

Naminoue Shrine: Located on a sea cliff, Naminoue Shrine is the most representative shrine in Okinawa, facing the azure sea and symbolizing protection and peace.

15:00 Cape Zanpa Lighthouse (approximately 1 hour stop, subject to driver's announcement)

Cape Zanpa Lighthouse: The westernmost lighthouse on Okinawa Island, offering the latest sunset views in Okinawa; in addition, the lighthouse is a symbol of Cape Zanpa, situated on a cliff about 30 meters high and stretching for 2 kilometers, providing visitors with a 360-degree panoramic sea view.

16:30 American Village (stay time approximately 1.5 hours, subject to driver's announcement)

American Village: A leisure resort combining shopping, dining, and sunset views, featuring American-style architecture and vibrant streetscapes. At dusk, the setting sun paints the sea red, street music fills the air, and visitors are free to enjoy shopping, dining, and street photography.

18:30 Southeast Botanical Garden (approximately 2 hours, subject to driver's announcement)

Southeast Botanical Garden: A dreamlike botanical garden that blends nature and light, renowned for its seasonal "Southern Paradise of Light." Hundreds of thousands of lights illuminate palm trees and garden paths, creating a romantic, fairytale-like night scene.

At 21:30, the meeting was dismissed in front of the county hall.

This is a very good introduction to a few of the sights of northern Okinawa. The driver was prompt in leaving on time and was very clear about when to return to the bus after each sight. In fact he left a couple passengers that did not return to the bus on time which was quite fair for the rest of the passengers. The bus was quite comfortable and the itinerary had good spacing between stops. Highly recommended!

Funpass buses are convenient, with a driver taking you around, allowing you to sleep on the bus and get off at attractions. However, the seats are a bit small, so they can be uncomfortable on long journeys. You might want to bring your own neck pillow. The driver allows plenty of time to visit the attractions. Overall, it's very convenient and simple.

It's perfect for solo travelers. The only downside was the limited time for meals, as the restaurants in the places we stayed required queuing and waiting, leaving little time for actual meals and making it a bit rushed.

The first day's Funpass Southern Route was excellent, and the Northern Route, which included other attractions, was also a great experience. It didn't disappoint! Manzamo is a great starting point, so the bus ride wasn't too long, allowing for a restroom break and some stretching. An hour wasn't too long or too rushed. Based on other reviews, I learned that the restaurants were small and only offered an hour of dining time, so I had a substantial breakfast, buying the famous pork and egg rice balls. I think choosing this restaurant was the right decision, as there aren't many good places for tour groups near the Churaumi Aquarium, and the next stop is less than a four-minute drive away, giving passengers time to catch the dolphin show and find a good seat. After the tour, hearing about potential traffic jams on the return trip, I decided to get off at America Village, spending about 2-3 hours eating and shopping before taking the 21:15 TK05 (¥1000) back to Kokusai-dori, a very relaxing and enjoyable journey.

There is no tour guide on the trip; only the driver is responsible for confirming the number of passengers and informing you of the pick-up times at the attractions. You can rest quietly in the car.

Very satisfied 👍 Lucky to have encountered great weather and had a super fun time. Cape Manzamo is beautiful and the souvenir area is great for shopping. One hour wasn't enough time to stay, and the lunch spot was also beautiful. Everyone rushes to Pork Tamago Onigiri, which is delicious and photogenic. Even those who have been to the aquarium many times can skip the main building; the shows and ocean views outside are free.
