MOCOMOCO Kyoto Kimono Arashiyama Main Store is located in the Arashiyama scenic area. The store has a great location, just a 2-minute walk to Tenryu-ji Temple, a 5-minute walk to the bamboo grove, and a 4-minute walk to the Arashiyama Scenic Railway!

Kimono Selection: 1000 kimonos are available for you to choose from, as well as high-end furisode and visiting attire. There are no hidden costs. You can choose according to the KKDAY plan (the plan can be changed at the last minute).

Hair Styling: Top-notch hairstylists will create Japanese-style hairstyles for you. Hair accessories are handmade by experienced teachers, beautiful and unique, making you stand out from the crowd!

We offer the latest trendy lace kimonos and yukatas for young Japanese girls, and also have a variety of accessories to choose from.

We offer traditional kimono and yukata experiences; come and feel the charm of traditional Japanese clothing!

The shop always has cute and stylish furisode kimonos in stock, as well as the latest ultra-luxurious furisode kimonos. We recommend renting a gorgeous furisode kimono and visiting famous spots such as Tenryu-ji Temple and Arashiyama Bamboo Grove to create unforgettable memories.

The overall experience was good, the shop people all friendly and helpful. The best part is they provide service to send your stuff back to your hotel/ryokan within Kyoto (with additional charges), after my return to ryokan I just leave my kinomo at the reception and they will collect it. This saved me quite some time to send back the kimono the next day. Wonderful experience!

Upon arriving at the shop, the staff clearly pointed out the kimono styles we could choose from. When we encountered difficulties selecting kimonos, the staff immediately offered advice, demonstrating excellent service. Furthermore, the shop had a diverse selection of kimonos, all neatly arranged. I also purchased a photography service; the photographer provided us with suggestions for famous Kyoto landmarks and even guided us on how to pose for photos. Overall, a great experience!

Although we were originally scheduled too late, they were willing to let us experience kimono and yukata early. We ran and played in the bamboo forest with the sisters in kimono and prophecy. There was someone who spoke Chinese, which was very convenient. Their hair-tying skills were also amazing! Everyone should come!

The shop has a wide selection of styles and sizes. My child needed a small size (around 80-90), and the staff patiently selected a suitable yukata for her and provided thoughtful advice on how to style her outfit. The makeup artist also created beautiful hairstyles, which delighted my daughter. The makeup artist briefly explained how to style the hairstyle so I could try it on myself. They also offer geta, also in child-sized sizes, but they're more comfortable with your own shoes. Adults often have painful feet after wearing geta, so they'd be even more uncomfortable for children. While we were waiting for the photographer, the staff even suggested we grab a bite at the bakery across the street so our child wouldn't be too hungry during the photoshoot. What a thoughtful touch! I highly recommend this place, and I recommend arriving early to avoid crowds.
