The trip was very well-organized and complete, including visits not only to the Alishan National Park area, but also connected sites like Beimen Station, Fenqihu Station, and Hinoki Village; this gave us the bigger picture of train and forestry culture surrounding Alishan. The driver/guide Mr. Xu explained each site and took us many pictures. He was also very accommodating to my older parents when they needed to go to the restroom multiple times. When we arrived at Alishan, we received two train tickets (Alishan to Zhaoping and Shenmu to Alishan) and a recommended route for our self-guided trek inside; we were then able to explore multiple key sites in a relaxed pace. A good bento lunch, some local snacks, and bottles of water were also provided at the start of the trip. Overall it was well-worth what we paid considering how large and confusing going around Alisha can be.

We booked the trip few weeks before and was contacted shortly. They fetched us from our hotel, which is abit out of the way and saved us from travelling to the city. The driver was on time and knowledgeable, sharing with us information on Alishan, how to get around, where to meet etc. Our family enjoyed the trip throughly

Fortunate to have a small group (3 in total) so we sat in a taxi. The driver/tour guide has good driving skills and is detailed in explaining different places of interest. Has a complimentary square cookies and a bento voucher! The driver also bought the iconic alishan train ticket before hand

Peter was a great guide and spoke good English as well as Chinese. He picked us up at Chiayi station > Fenqihu > Alishan. It’s worth noting that the train part in Alishan Mountain was very short about 10 minutes. If you’re looking for a longer train experience, this is not the tour. On the tour, we spent about 3 hours in Alishan, walking and learning about the mountain’s history and the ancient trees. Also had the opportunity to visit some temples.

Our driver was Mr Xu was a very nice man. He arranged everything smoothly, he was very informative, on the journey he told us the history and life of the aboriginal peoples . He was very humorous, even help every group took pictures , and extra stops at beautiful view points. The lunch provided was delicious although was just bento. Highly recommended for those who come to Taiwan, don’t miss it!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Alishan, Fengqihu and Hinoki Village, and this day ended up being one of the highlights of our Taiwan trip. Despite the rainy weather, our guides were extremely passionate in explaining to us about each place, introducing good food spots and offering to help us take photos. Special thanks to Mr Wang, who was very helpful to my family and always ensured that we do not get injured when getting on/off the car. We would love to be back to spend more time to explore Alishan when we are back in the future. Many thanks to Profun Travel for the free Chiayi specialty biscuits and water as well, highly recommended!
