The guides were really friendly and the BBQ dinner was tasty. River shrimping at night was a one-of-a-kind experience and everybody had fun!

Thanks to the baby coach for teaching and caring for us. Have a good time. There are cars from Hualien City to Shanxi. The car that the coach is driving is also very comfortable. I fell asleep in less than 5 minutes. Haha.

Really cool experience with great food. We had the tour with a family of locals and it was an interesting activity all around. Shrimp catching was difficult but well worth a try. Great tour organizers. The tour is only in Chinese.

Had fun at the creek trying to net the shrimps, and am glad that these are "catch & release" experience. The water at the creek was cool and it was fun walking around the steam searching for shrimps. The hotpot prepared was delicious with local wild vegetables, and BBQ was nice too... had an interesting experience "breaking" open the bamboo rice at dinner too!

It was quite an experience, we had an hour to look for shrimps ourselves after an introduction by the guide. Guide is also very friendly, always giving us tips and helps to take photos of us in action throughout the entire activity.

I went there alone since I’m a solo traveler. The tricky thing is I was the only English speaker there so it was quite intimidating but they tried to make me feel comfortable a lot and it was super funny at the end. I got the whole experience alone because the group didn’t want to go under the rain. So it was like a vip event just for me so I enjoyed it a lot.

There were only two of us on that day but the tour still went ahead anyway. Very professional service. Our instructor picked us up at our accommodation and drove us to the prawning site. We were taught how to catch river prawns and later released them back to the river. After that we had hotpot on site. It's very simple but definitely fun for both adults and kids. Recommended to try this activity.

Wonderful experience and NOT boring like the usual shrimping where you sit around the cement pond. Plus, dinner in the wild is also great! The nice guys who took us there took good care of us.
