Mari Mari Cultural Village Half-Day Tour with Meals and Tour Guide + Hotel Return Transfer | Sabah | Malaysia

My friends and I went to Mari-Mari Cultural Village as part of our Sabah trip. Our tour guide was Jeff and he is an awesome guide! His explanation was thorough and made the trip fun! We learned a lot on the 5 main tribes of Sabah. This is one item that has to be on your list if you are visiting Sabah. We will surely contact KKday and request Jeff as our tour guide on our future visits to Sabah.

Mr Jeff was a fantastic tour guide during our Mari Mari Cultural experience. He knew the village inside out and was such a great teacher, teaching my husband and I about the history of the 5 tribes. We experienced delicious food as well as amazing performances. A must try if you are heading over to Sabah!

We truly enjoyed this experience! Our tour guide Leong was very entertaining and hospitable. Pamela, the Mari-Mari guide explained and showed every tribe included in the village clearly and happily accepted tourist questions. This trip might not be grand but for me, it being small and "intimate" is what makes it special

I am normally not a fan of pre arranged 'tours', however this was a great surprise. The cultural village has done a great job of recreating life in days past. It was very educational and informative. The guides were superb. Go here first before anything else in Malaysia; it will set the tone for the trip

It was a fun tour to join and great cultural experience. Make sure you bring insect repellent as there were lots of mosquito.

Our guide, Lily's cheerful personality and attentiveness made this a fantastic tour. While a local expert guide primarily guided us around the village, Lily always supported us with excellent advice and took plenty of photos at photo spots, always keeping an eye on our progress. Her support allowed us to fully concentrate on our experience, making it even more enjoyable! The cultural village itself clearly encapsulates the lives of Sabah's indigenous people, far exceeding expectations for a typical "tourist destination." It was an immersive facility full of learning and discovery. There were plenty of activities to enjoy with all five senses, including the traditional Merut trampoline and tasting local sake, so we never got bored until the very end. If you're unsure about what to do, I highly recommend going with Lily!

It was wonderful! I tried different foods, learned about different cultures, and gained a deeper understanding of indigenous peoples.
