Netherlands Giethoorn Day Tour from Amsterdam

It took two and a half hours to reach Giethoorn. Although there was a 15-minute stop during the journey, there were no restroom facilities available at the stop, so we had to use the bus’s toilet. Upon arriving in Giethoorn, we immediately boarded a one-hour boat tour to enjoy the serene and picturesque surroundings. While the seating on the boat was a bit cramped, the hour-long journey was overall pleasant. Afterward, we had about three hours of free time to explore, take photos, and try the restaurant there. The bus departed promptly at 5 PM to return to Amsterdam. In my personal opinion, the trip was well worth it!

This trip is wonderful and no regret!

The tour departed on time at 10am and journey took us approx. 2 hours. The tour included a boat ride and given a free and easy time for around 4 hours. Back to the Amsterdam Station around 6.45pm. I had a great time walking around the village and took many beautiful photos. Highly recommended to visit this place.

Meeting place was clearly provided with photos. The bus was really comfortable, spacious and the sound quality and projection of tour guide’s voice was loud enough and clear! Giethoorn itself is worth a visit too! Overall recommended!

The day trip was very convenient and comfortable. The driver drove very smoothly, and the vehicle was very new. The tour guide was also very responsible, providing explanations in English and Spanish throughout the trip, and providing Spanish translation services for Spanish-speaking tourists during the cabin boat tour.

At Amsterdam Central Station, exchange your tickets for physical tickets at the ticket service station on the first floor (their ground floor). Then go upstairs to find your guide and tour bus. The journey takes about 1.5 hours to Giethoorn. Upon arrival, the guide mentions two boat tours (including guided tours), which you can choose. The rest of the time is free. It is strongly recommended that you locate the tour bus stop well in advance and pay close attention to the route, as the houses and roads in Giethoorn look very similar and you can easily get lost! Our guide provided information about Giethoorn and the Netherlands, but he didn't explain the meeting point in detail or make sure everyone could find it, so we almost got lost and couldn't get back to the bus. Please be careful!

After collecting your tickets at the exchange counter, follow the staff's instructions to go upstairs and board the bus. There is plenty of time to spend in Giethoorn, and the tour guide is very friendly. It's a good choice if you don't want to travel long distances.

The bus was comfortable, and the passengers came from all over the world; everyone was very nice. The tour guide was also very kind, but please make sure to arrive at the meeting point early, as the bus will depart immediately at the designated meeting time, regardless of whether all passengers have arrived!

To be honest, it was a bit boring. We spent half a day traveling, but there really wasn't much there. Apart from the boat tour, it was raining that day, and there weren't many shops. We could only walk around and see the scenery, but the scenery consisted mainly of houses and boats.
