Day 1

Get picked up in Melbourne CBD (see Meeting Point info below )

Please be aware that tour times, including pickup times, are subject to traffic conditions. Check your email and message inbox for all the latest updates

8:30 am: On board the shuttle bus, depart from Melbourne CBD pick up point

10:05 am: Arrive at the Sovereign Hill

Take a horse-drawn carriage (fee not included) for the best views of all Sovereign Hill has to offer

Marvel at Sovereign Hill's well-preserved architecture, with individuals in time-appropriate clothing to truly immerse visitors in the gold rush period

Don't miss out on panhandling in local creeks

Make sure to witness the Gold Pour, where pure gold is melted in real bullion bars

1:00 pm: View the Redcoats show, a display of soldiers marching, drilling, and firing their rifles

2:30 pm: Depart from Sovereign Hill and then visited the New Gold Mountain Chinese Library and Ballarat City

5:00 pm: Arrive at Melbourne CBD (Tour finishes at the meeting point)

Its been a very pleasant trip with the guide / driver Mr Edward Lee helpfulness and safe driving to ensure all of us here having a un-forgetable and enjoyable trip...his planned schedules are impeccable..

Good tour wit relaxing and nice environment. But the tour guide KKday provided aren’t professional enough. This might need to improve overall the trip is good and nice.

The entire park really replicates Melbourne during the gold rush period, and the staff are very friendly! I had a lot of fun taking photos with tourists during the various plots of the show. I think the most worthwhile experience is the experience of going down to the mine and watching deep underground. There is also a very well-produced introductory video, and it is really great to have a Chinese tour guide. After finishing the park experience, we also went to visit the art museum in the city center. The whole trip was fulfilling but not rushed. Everything was just right.

Not too far from downtown Melbourne, you can reach the gold mining town of the 18th/19th century. The employees in the town are all dressed in period clothes, which makes you really feel more integrated into the time. The only regret is that you did not buy an underground mine. If you are interested, remember to check the visiting time and buy tickets before you arrive, so you won’t have any regrets.
