Hoi An Hoai River Boat Ride and Optional Hoi An Ancient Town Ticket

Initially we were lost trying to find the redemption point but luckily it was just nearby. The guy then brought us to the queue where the wait wasn't too long and the view at night was really nice! Together with eating the food at the night market, it makes a great way to end the day.

After purchasing our tickets from KKDAY, we exchanged them at a shop near Japan Bridge. We were then escorted to the riverside to line up for the boat. While it's more beautiful to watch the krathongs from shore, I also enjoyed the scenery from the boat, especially the release of krathongs to wish for good health.

It was fantastic and very good. We had to line up, but our turn came quickly.

Many people participated in this Hoi An River boat ride, but only a couple of families who applied were able to board the boat. Thanks to this, we were able to enjoy the river at a leisurely pace. However, I recommend that you float the lanterns when there is no traffic between boats. The boatman will light the lanterns and urge you to float them quickly, but if you let them float when the boats are passing by, they will be swallowed by the waves created by the passing of other boats, so be careful! Other than that, it will be a great experience.

I made the reservation the day before, and the information email arrived immediately, so it was very easy to use. I was able to get the sightseeing ticket for the old town at the information desk right away. For the boat, I went to the information desk 20 minutes before the desired boarding time and had a staff member guide me to the boarding area, which was very smooth. The boat was very crowded, so I'm really glad I was able to make a reservation in advance!

I wasn't sure where the meeting place was, but there was an information center two doors down, so I asked there and they told me right away. It was quite crowded, but I was able to board without having to wait.

We boarded the boat just as it got dark. There were quite a few boats out and about. The combination of the lanterns filling the water and the boats was amazing. After we disembarked, it was completely dark and there were many times more people waiting for the boat than before. If you check the sunset time and adjust the time to board the boat, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery comfortably with almost no waiting time.

Previously, I rode on a motorized boat from a scalper. This time, I booked through kkday, and even though there was a long line at the boarding point, I was able to ride on a rowboat without waiting. The boatman was also very nice and it was great.
