Schedule

Day 1

Please arrive at the "Whale World Whale Watching Check-in Area" approximately 40 minutes before the departure time to complete the check-in process and receive a small gift for your trip.

Pre-trip safety instructions and introduction to cetacean species

Twenty minutes before departure, a safety briefing and whale watching precautions will be given, and a professional guide will introduce common whale and dolphin species in Hualien waters and how to observe them.

Preparing to board the boat at Hualien Fishing Port

The crew will guide you to Hualien Port to board the ship, which will then officially set sail from Hualien Port. The voyage will continue into the Kuroshio Current region to search for wild whales and dolphins.

Go out to sea to search for whales and dolphins

After approximately 90-120 minutes of sailing, the boat will reach the waters off Hualien to begin searching for wild whales and dolphins. A guide will accompany the group and provide commentary throughout. (The whale watching experience time may be adjusted by the captain based on real-time sea conditions and whale/dolphin activity.)

Happy return and photos on shore

After the voyage ended and we safely returned to shore, we took photos with the giant whale statue in front of the registration area, marking the end of our whale watching trip in Hualien.

We had a nice boat ride overall. The transportation service was very convenient and as soon as we got there, we lined up to get on board. We saw some dolphins, but sadly no whales :(. Maybe better luck next time!

We saw 2 different dolphins on this trip. Too bad we didnt get to see any whale. It's a short sweet trip.

The bus driver speak English well. He picked up on-time at my desired locatio. The cruise also looks safety. The cruise driver always points at good spot. Dolphins are cute and energetic. I do not know Chinese, but I can know where to look dophins when the cruise driver notices passages.

didnt get to see any whales but we saw abt 30 dolphins flipping around putting a great show for us! It was so magical I wanted to tear. It was highlight of my entire Hualien trip and one of highlights in my life!

Easy experience but communication could be improved. Didn't manage to catch any whales in the sea. It depends on your luck.

The pick-up and drop-off were punctual, and communication was smooth. The pre-trip briefing was excellent, and the onboard commentary was engaging. The captain was very skilled at locating whale pods. We didn't see many whales that day, but the experience was very enjoyable, and the children loved it.

The staff at the pick-up and drop-off counter, the captain, and the guides were all fantastic! We even managed to see whales! I recommend coming in the summer when the waves are calmer.
