A day trip to Mount Omuro in Izu, Japan | Atami coastline or ocean-view train, Mount Omuro cable car or cactus zoo, Kinosaki coast, stroll through Ito Marin town | Departing from Tokyo

I enjoyed having a smaller group, there were only 8 of us. The van was spacious and comfortable which was perfect for or 3-4hour each way drive (depending on traffic). This tour has great views of mountains and the ocean. Unfortunately the chair lift was closed to the summit of Mt Izo, so I could only take photos at the base. However, I was able to alternatively spend more time at the zoo which is across the road. The zoo has some open enclosures so you can interact and feed the animals. There's plenty of capybaras. The tour was well organised and our tour guide messaged us throughout the day to inform us of meeting times and destinations.

Straightforward sightseeing trip to a few locations. This package just includes a driver that brings you around to the planned locations. No extra talk about history or extra info about the locations visited. The mini-van that was used for us group of 7+1 could be better. The 3hr journey in it wasn’t the most comfortable.

The minibus went directly from Atami to Mt. Omuro, which was great because there were no transfers. I was really lucky to see the snow-capped Mount Fuji for the first time from Mt. Omuro. The tour guide was very nice and spoke excellent Chinese, Korean, English, and Japanese, but he seemed more like a driver than a guide. I highly recommend this trip!

Omuro! ✔️ Riding the cable car and walking around the crater was so therapeutic! ♡ The day trip on April 9th was led by Olivia, and the small group of only 12 people was super comfortable~ She even took photos for me on the Kinosaki coast 🥹 For a solo traveler who usually only takes selfies, this was a huge bonus! I really loved the perfect pace of the trip, and I'm looking forward to my next trip to Japan, hoping to meet Olivia again to lead the group! ✨

Although it was a rainy day and Izu wasn't completely green yet, thanks to our guide Beibei, who introduced the sights along the way, we still had a pleasant trip through Izu and our mood wasn't ruined.

The driver was very friendly and punctual. There was a wildfire on Mount Omuro in February, so the grass hasn't grown back yet; it looks like coffee jelly. The wind was incredibly strong along the coast, and although there was fog, it was still very beautiful.

The tour leader and driver were the same person who spoke Mandarin, so everyone could understand him. The itinerary included explanations of the places and recommendations for other areas. All the attractions were visited, and the tour departed on time, returning to Shinjuku around 6 PM to conclude the tour. It was a great experience.

The driver/guide was very enthusiastic and had excellent driving skills 😂 The whole itinerary was packed but perfectly arranged! We visited the Mt. Omuro Ropeway and the Kinosaki Coast – and the weather was perfect, the sea in Izu was so blue and beautiful.

Our tour guide and driver constantly reminded everyone to fasten their seatbelts – so kind! The crater walk was a fantastic experience; we saw scenery unlike anything we'd ever seen in Taiwan. The train passed through many tunnels, offering mountain and sea views – a great day trip!

The famous Mount Omuro, unfortunately I missed the burning mountain event! You can enjoy beautiful sea views from the mountain, and along the way we passed the famous Atami coast! The beautiful Kinosaki coast!
