全台唯一僅存的輕便鐵路,造型可愛,沿途還可飽覽山巒風光
In the early days, the Wulai trolley was only used to transport timber. Due to the development of tourist demand for Wulai Waterfall, passenger transport was officially started in 1963, using manpower to push tourists. In order to cope with the growing number of tourists, it was motorized in 1974 and driven by a diesel engine. In 1987, despite all difficulties, a tunnel was dug at the waterfall station to replace the original turntable, and it is still in use today. The operating route from Wulai Station to Waterfall Station is approximately 1.6 kilometers long and runs back and forth from 8:00 to 17:00 every day. The operating hours are adjusted according to the summer peak season, and the train will open on demand to serve passengers. When visiting Wulai Old Street, the trolley bus is a must-see attraction for both adults and children.
**Wulai Trolley Bus does not have a fixed schedule, and it will depart according to the crowd situation. Operating hours: Summer period (July-August): 09:00~18:00, other periods: 09:00~17:00. **
